Dr. Dayo Benjamins-Laniyi
My name is Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, the Honourable Mandate Secretary of the Women Affairs Secretariat under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) appointed to this role by President Bola Tinubu in 2023. A passionate women’s rights activist, deeply committed to advocating for women’s empowerment and increasing their participation in politics. As the Grand Matron of ‘Hope Again for FCT Women in Politics,’ I mentor and support women in navigating the political arena.
Beyond politics, I am also a well-known public speaking consultant and one of Nigeria’s most sought-after Master of Ceremonies (MCs). With experience in media, events management, entrepreneurship, hospitality, and culture, I have successfully hosted numerous high-profile events both locally and internationally, enhancing my reputation as a leading voice in public engagements.

In addition to leading my firm, I serve as the communications expert, advocate, and social media manager for Build Her A Future, where I shape the organization’s public voice and oversee its digital communications strategy. I manage BHAF’s social platforms, develop clear and impactful messaging, and work closely with leadership and partners to amplify advocacy efforts and global visibility. Through intentional storytelling and strategic communications, I help elevate the voices of the women and communities BHAF serves while strengthening the organization’s credibility and international reach.
